After 2 fun-filled events at The Night Heron, the Positive Rap Battles return again at new venue Mamma Chen’s in the heart of Footscray. ✌🏽

The format itself is fairly self-explanatory; instead of the competitors slaughtering their opponent with a tirade of rhyming insults, audience members will watch the rappers trying to hit their opponent with bars of kindness! The emcees will be trying their best to craft their words to be more flattering than fierce. ☮️

So please come along to this entertaining and amusing spectacle which will, without a doubt, be a rare sight to behold in the Melbourne music scene! ✌🏽

We welcome any emcees, poets or keen improvisers to sign up on the night to be a part of the hilarity, and of course, we would love to see as many spectators as possible! ☮️

The night will include a short, sneaky set from local hip hop group Sneakerheads to keep the vibe right.

ACCESS NOTES:
The entrance of Mamma Chen’s is on Albert St, with ramp access for mobility aids. There is an accessible parking spot and bathroom available. There will be seats available in the bandroom, and space for wheelchairs. There will be earplugs available and strictly no use of strobe lighting.
