Crust debuts at Mamma Chen’s for a night in celebration of their new single ‘Whom’st’, with a lineup showcasing the best of Melbourne’s general noise deformity.
First: Tellerwood, the newest additions to the fold. Elements of art rock, noise alternative, etc. Futuristic they are, and though ‘Black Midi’ must be cited as an influence, they are something so very unique.
Second: ERIS. Become enraptured by the thump of the loop pedal and the leather consuming skin. Think ‘Suicide’ or ‘Warm Drag’.
Third: Kotlas Begemot. A band and a trash machine which they repeatedly thump with a hockey stick and various other items. Fast, loud and unmissable.
Finally: Crust. Playing live, the songs merge, divert, grow and finally become one with each other. Operating in perfect harmony with the end of the world.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, the true owners of the land that we live and operate on. We would like to pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
