Welcome to Mamma Chen’s!

We are a family owned and run, small live music venue. Em Chen (they/them) and Mamma Chen AKA Linda (she/her) are a mother and youngen duo who have put all of our heart and energy into creating a venue for artists to thrive. A quick backstory – Mamma Chen encouraged Em from a young age to pursue their love of music and over the years we have both fallen in love with the communities that are built at small venues. When the opportunity came up to open a space of our own, we had to take it.

Embracing artistic risk taking and championing equity and diversity; our focussed vision is access for all – providing warmth and physically safe spaces to share, engage and perform.

We focus on our communities, our artists, listening to their needs to genuinely encourage growth.
Diversity is paramount to our space, celebrating eclectic difference and multiplicity.

Live music is a symbiotic relationship and we are focussed on nurturing this.
