10 Saturday February 7.30pm
Soundfossil, Grups (duo), Bj Morriszonkle & Nero Friktschn Feuerherdt
Live Music
FREE ENTRY
A triple-bill of garage wonk, gothic surf and apocalypse lullabies at the awesome Mamma Chen’s.
Soundfossil play opulent & insolent chamber-folk drenched in reeds & reverb. They indulge in the fashionable despair of the age, and make you a tea and tell you you’re beautiful.
Grups are a jangle-psych cowboy cacophony with deep grooves and pointy shoes. They go song-for-song in a rare duo appearance playing stripped-down Citizen Zane numbers and interpreting the songs of Paul Bearer (minus the Coffin Makers).
Bj Morriszonkle & Nero Friktschn Feuerherdt create a twisted vintage songbook of upsetting dream music, melting chocolate cowboy ballads, fairy park field recordings and explodey sci-fi cartoon terror. They are the union of Melbourne wonk icon Bj Morriszonkle with Stuttgart artist & harmoniumist Lilith Becker.
We hope you can make it along.
Entry is free but come on time if you can.
This event takes place on the lands of the the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, the true owners of the land that we live and operate on. We would like to pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
