Sibyl are an alt-folk band of witches; singing about feelings & casting spells on Wurundjeri country. The coven is finally ready to launch their debut album; ‘Weal & Woe’ (date TBA), but first they have some special potions to share with you…
Sibyl are releasing TWO singles; Genesis & Porchlight. On Sun 8th October at Mamma Chen’s, they invite you to gather by candlelight for this unmissable séance.
For this special launch show, the band will be joined by Luke Byrnes on Double Bass. Supported by the amazing Flora and Chev Person.
*Limited FREE tickets are available for First Nations, Refugees, Asylum Seekers and Support Workers/Companions.
Sibyl (meaning; a prophetic woman), was formed underneath a full moon back in 2018. Featuring Lydia Grant on guitar, piano & vocals, Anita Agathangelou (Arbes, Genuine Fake, Lunata) on Drums & backing vocals, Maisie McKenzie (Maisie Pearle) on accordion & backing vocals, and Chloe Morgan (Soft Butch Media) on Guitar and backing vocals.
Most tracks on our debut album, feature our friend Luke Byrnes (The Double Dole Stringband, Charlotte Le Lievre, Jess Parker Band) on fiddle & double bass.
