The debut EP from Jen Frank, ‘Phone in the River’, is a collection of songs full of pop hooks and lush instrumentation produced by Craig Pilkington at Audrey Studios. With tracks ranging from scorching ballads through toe-tapping pop-rock to playful country- pop, Jen Frank is an accomplished singer-songwriter from Melbourne, Australia.
‘Phone In The River’ tackles some challenging & topical issues with a quirky, tongue in cheek attitude, covering personal and social commentary, including love & loss, bullying, social media, fun times and ageing.
In 2011, Jen was diagnosed with Schizophrenia. Her diagnosis helped her to understand some of the challenges she faced in life and helped her to connect with and commit to her passion as a creator and performer of original music.
In 2012, Jen joined Wild At Heart Community Arts, an organisation that supports musicians with lived experience of disability to produce original music, and has since played a leading role in organising events, including the Unmuted Festival for artists with mental illness, and the Lyrical Women songwriting program for women and non-binary women identifying artists.
Phone In The River EP is out on digital platforms & limited edition CD on July 21, 2023 through Wild At Heart Records.
