Wet Bandits began in New Zealand in 2018 as a vehicle for the bedroom produced songs of Finn Roberts.

Now residing on the east coast of Australia, the group consists of members Hugh Mckendrey (drums), Kaleb Preo (bass) and Finn Roberts (guitar/vox). For the most part Wet Bandits have largely been flying under the radar of local audiences and instead cultivated a dedicated and passionate international fanbase, mainly across the United States, Mexico, Brazil and the UK.

This global appreciation for their creative output is vividly demonstrated by the staggering stats of their breakout single, Movies As Friends, which boasts upwards of 8 million streams on YouTube and Spotify alone.

Following the release of their latest LP ‘Bad Tattoos and Weathermen’ last year, Wet Bandits has completed successful tours of NZ and Australia as well as opened for some notable acts including No Cigar, The Butlers, and The Slims. The group has extensive live show plans in 2026/27, and are currently working on a new album set to release this year.

They’ll be joined on the day by Celltowers and FJ Steele.
